This May 17, the IWW Starbucks Workers Union willcelebrate its fourth anniversary with actions aroundthe world.
In New York City, you are invited to join baristas andsupporters for a colorful and lively protest at thenew $24.7 million mansion of Starbucks CEO HowardSchultz.
A STARBUCKS BARISTA WOULD HAVE TO WORK OVER 350 YEARS STRAIGHT WITHOUT SLEEPING TO PURCHASE SCHULTZ'SMANSION!
Billionaire Schultz is the heart and soul ofStarbucks' relentless union-busting campaign beingwaged against baristas struggling for a living wageand secure work hours.
Despite the union-busting, Starbucks workers aroundthe country continue to join the union at a robustpace and win important improvements on the job.
Protesters will honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. inthis 40th anniversary year of his death. Starbucks'unbridled greed and disrespect for Dr. King's federalholiday represent an intolerable insult to his memory.
So come celebrate our 4th anniversary with us at CEOSchultz's mansion. He just moved to New York and heneeds to learn that New York is a union town!
